Kenya, Nyeri County Varietal: Red Bourbon Process: Washed Altitude: 1800masl Raspberry, Ribena, Lemon Curd This exceptional Kenyan lot comes from the Ruthagati Coffee Factory, a highly reputable washing station nestled in the Mathira region of Nyeri County. Operating under the Rutuma Farmers Cooperative Society (F.C.S) since 2005, Ruthagati has long been a pioneer in quality and sustainability, standing out early on as one of the first small-scale factories in Kenya to achieve the prestigious international UTZ Kapeh certification. Grown at optimal altitudes of 1650 to 1750 metres above sea level, the coffee benefits from ideal microclimates that slow cherry maturation and develop deep sweetness. This lot features a classic Kenyan blend of SL28 and SL34 varietals alongside the resilient Ruiru 11 and Batian, all processed using the traditional washed method to deliver a remarkably clean, vibrant, and complex cup that beautifully characterises the terroir of Nyeri.
