Magnolia, Peru, Cajamarca, Washed Geisha
“citrus · bergamot · pineapple · floral · rose · soft”
Tasting notes
In the roaster’s words
We love the soft, gentle rosey/citrusy florals in the cup that inspired the name of this floral and complex washed geisha with magnolia, bergamot, pineapple and cherry tomato in the cup. Demóstenes Tantaleán chases complexity and he definitely shows it here. This geisha undergoes a 36 hour fermentation to boost florals and complexity. Not the type of fermentation to create funky flavours, but more to accentuate what this great coffee has to offer. Tasting Notes: Magnolia, Bergamot, Pineapple, Cherry Tomatoes, Floral Elevation: 1950masl Varietal: Geisha Process: Washed > About the Farm Demóstenes Tantaleán Acuña is a second-generation coffee producer based in Tacabamba, Chota, Cajamarca. Growing up immersed in coffee farming, Demóstenes developed a deep passion for the land and for coffee cultivation. Rather than prioritising volume he chose to plant fine varieties such as Geisha, aiming to differentiate his coffee and achieve more complex and distinctive cup profiles. His work reflects both respect for tradition and a forward-looking commitment to specialty coffee standards.
