“chocolate · cherry · apricot · earl grey · fermented · overall sweet”
Tasting notes
In the roaster’s words
CONTRABAND wasn’t meant to travel this far. Volcanic Indonesia, processed with intent and precision, meets with a funky, naturally processed Rwandan counterpart. Expect dark fruit, fermented sweetness, and floral notes, finishing with a lingering Black Forest aftertaste. Behind it, a family in East Java and a community on Karambi Mountain who refused to stay downstream. From café to roastery, from roastery to processing, they turned to innovative milling techniques and into a full fledged coffee infrastructure.
