“passion fruit · peach · guava · floral · complex”
Tasting notes
In the roaster’s words
Country of Origin: Colombia Variety: Sudan Rume Process: Natural Altitude: 1900-2000mASL Mikava has gained acclaim throughout the world of coffee, winning national and international competitions. The coffees grown by Paul Doyle alongside his son, Kevin and their team. We have visited their farm and have been buying their coffee since the beginning of Special Guests. This lot of Sudan Rume is very small; only 7 kilos of green, which is only around 6kg of roasted coffee available, but we are very glad to be having it as part of our unscheduled releases. Originating from the Rume region near the Ethiopian border (in present-day South Sudan), this varietal is now cultivated globally due to its exceptional disease resistance and often very floral and fruit-like characteristics. This naturally processed lot from Mikava delivers remarkable quality along with impressive flavour complexity. In the cup we find flavours of p assionfruit, peach and guava
