Tasting notes
In the roaster’s words
Produced by Cafe Granja La Esperanza at Finca Potosí in the Valle de Cauca region of Colombia. This limited lot is the CGLE-17 varietal, a hybrid of Geisha and Caturra, built to be more disease resistant, adaptable to dry seasons, and increased yield. The coffee maintains those floral characteristics of the Geisha, with the sweetness and increased body of the Caturra. This lot was processed as a Honey, leaving the mucilage on during fermentation, yielding a cup of high sweetness, with notes of Raspberry, Red Grapes, Golden Kiwi, and a beautiful sencha aftertaste. The cup is layered and complex with a silky mouthfeel.
